Live streams

Creators can stream alongside their token. Live in the app lists everyone currently streaming.

Watching

Anyone can watch — no wallet, no sign-in. Open Live, pick a stream, and it plays in the page.

If the stream has a token attached, a Trade the token button takes you straight to its page. When a stream ends, the player is replaced with a note saying so.

The viewer count is cumulative — it counts every time someone opened the stream, not how many people are watching right now.

Going live

You need a connected wallet and to be signed in. Press Go live and fill in:

You can have one live stream at a time. Starting another updates your existing one rather than creating a second.

End stream stops it. Only you can end your own.

Holyhood does not host the video

This is the part that catches people out. Holyhood does not give you a streaming server, an ingest URL, or a broadcast key. You stream somewhere else and paste the resulting link in.

The app accepts:

A direct video link — .m3u8 (HLS), .mp4 or .webm — which plays in a normal video player.
An embed URL from YouTube, Twitch, Mux or similar, which is loaded in a sandboxed frame.

So the actual workflow is: start broadcasting with your own tool or platform, copy the playback or embed URL it gives you, then create the stream on Holyhood with that URL.

Leaving the URL blank creates the listing but viewers see a placeholder saying no video source is attached.

Good practice

Put the token address in, if the stream is about a token. It is the only thing connecting the two.
Check your link plays for a logged-out viewer before you announce it — an unlisted or members-only video will not work for everyone else.
Streaming is not moderated by Holyhood, and a stream is not a signal about a token's quality.
